Hair Care Tips & Tricks

1. I know I have said this before, but if you can skip washing your hair on some days, I highly suggest it. Since I have changed my routine I have seen a significant change in the health of my hair and way less breakage.

2. If you have the time, before getting into the shower, take a scoop of coconut oil and lather it from the middle to ends of your hair. Clip it up and relax for the next twenty minutes (I usually clean during this time because I am a grandma). Since I have started doing this, I have seen a huge difference. It really helps combat split ends and makes your hair a lot smoother. After the twenty minutes is up, proceed to wash your hair as usual.

3. After applying conditioner in your hair, use a wide toothed comb to comb it through from the middle to ends of your hair, especially if your deep conditioning. This allows the product to combat knots as well as distribute the product evenly. My favorite deep conditioner is the Macadamia Nourishing Moisture Mask.

4. Always wait to brush your hair once you get out of the shower until it is almost dry. Brushing soaking wet hair immediately out of the shower can lead to breakage.

5. Hair oil is my bff. Apply it from the middle all the way to the ends of your hair.  You can even take a little and apply it sparingly to the top of you head to fix "fly aways" or baby hairs. It is truly a life savior and completely combats frizz. My favorite hair oil is the Macadamia Nourishing Moisture Oil Spray or just any brand of argan oil.

6. To help your body from the inside out, my sister and I take Biotin supplements that are proven to improve and strengthen hair, skin, and nails.
